According to the New York Post, “A surrogate mom who refuses to abort one of the triplets she’s carrying because the father only wants two of the kids filed a lawsuit Monday claiming that California’s surrogacy law is unconstitutional.” The headline of the story is “Surrogate carrying triplets sues to stop forced abortion".

Gay Parents To Be had quite a year in 2015. We spent a lot of time and energy commenting on the groundbreaking news that was the culmination of decades of hard work and attention to detail. There may be nothing as surreal to a parent as their child telling them that they are not the gender that they were assigned at birth. Imagine what it must be like for a parent to hear their 5, 10, 15 or 20 year old son or daughter, tell them that they are not really a boy or a girl? That God made a mistake and put them in the wrong body?

Supporting The LGBT Community Through The Color Purple Today, Thursday, October 15, is a day where we come together, stand up and say no more bullying our LGBT youth. And we do more than say it. We do something about it. We can turn it purple and add our voices that way, thanks to GLADD and then? We can go even further. We can go into the schools and the workplaces. We can educate educators. June’s Supreme Court decision in Obergefell was a huge victory for our community and brought marriage rights to same-sex couples in all 50 states.

Attorney Ferrara ties the issues together in a concise and direct way, answering many questions that are rumbling around out there about why and if it was proper that the U.S. Supreme Court took this question on at all. Attorney Ferrara puts this landmark decision into proper perspective and helps us see that yes, it’s time to celebrate.

Today is a good day for children and families. The Supreme Court ruling will have huge implications for children of same sex parents who want to marry. For the children, this ruling legitimizes their family. No longer is there a shadow of unease knowing that a state can declare that their family is different from others. This ruling speaks across state lines and directly to the children of same sex parents that what matters in the law is that two people choose to marry. No caveats, no limitations. Someone else's opinion has no sway or recourse with your family.

You probably know how strongly you feel about having a family. You probably remember the thoughts and dreams you had growing up, imagining your children or babies. You probably have a good idea just how deep seated and powerful this desire is, to have a baby and you probably have an excellent idea of just how prevalent these thoughts are on a day to day basis. Or an hour by hour basis.
