This past weekend marked the 27th National Conference on LGBT Equality: Creating Change in Denver, Colorado. Our very own Medical Director, Dr. Mark Leondires was there sharing his expertise and insights with the LGBT community, both as a father and a physician. Dr. Leondires was able to share his own personal journey from the perspective of a doctor and as someone who has gone through the process himself. He offers a wider perspective that gives both the professional insights and understanding of the emotional struggles of LGBT family building.
Dr. Leondires Speaks About LGBT Family Building at National Conference
Run by the National LGBTQ Task Force, their five day program offers over 350 workshops and training sessions, four plenary sessions, and tons of networking opportunities, along with some really fun events. Every year the conference attracts more than 3,500 people from all walks of life from all over the country. This event is described as the “Only the premier annual organizing and skill-building event for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community and their allies”. With so many resources and insights the event has been extremely beneficial for the LGBT community and those looking to build families.
